WINTER OLYMPIC FESTIVAL
Over 350 future sport stars of Bulgaria take part in the Winter Olympic Festival. The event takes place in two mountains in order to cover the talents in the following sports:
– Giant slalom
– Slalom
– Ski run
– Biathlon
The event is a real festival of winter sports, which gives the young sports talents an opportunity to compete in the after-COVID period.
COMMON GAMES – DIFFERENT SPORTS IN VITOSHA MOUNTAIN
The Common Games in Vitosha Mountain turned into a big sports gala day with significant social effect. The event attracts hundreds of people who want to prove that people with disabilities can be active and can practice sports. Our aim is also to provoke more tolerant attitude towards the people with disabilities and their problems in our society.
BIKE PARADE
The participants in the “Sofia Rides a Bike” Bike Parade are over 1500. Early in the morning gather the most impatient and later, nearly 1200 bikers get their places at the start. Right after them, the runners start their route along the central streets of Sofia until they reach the Southern Sofia Park, where there are fun games, children’s competitions, demonstrations, etc. And all this is accompanied by music and fun! Every participant, who manages to reach the final, get a special certificate.
SUMMER OLYMPIC FESTIVAL
The event takes place in Albena Resort, which has been given the title ‘European Resort of Sport’. The competitions are organized in the following kinds of sports: light athletics, minifootball, basketball 3 x 3, table tennis, beach volleyball, badminton and swimming.
The festival makes more popular the main Olympic ideas, principles and values and helps for their dissemination among the youth.
SOFIA URBAN FEST
The event takes place in Knjajeska Gradina, Sofia and includes the following kinds of sport: basketball, extreme disciplines, bungee, acrobatics and martial arts, wall climbing, bicycle test ride and longboard, freerunning, drift motor show, stunt and other super attractions. Also a day of dances, martial arts and the unique for the Bulgarian capital motor spectacle, which is the final day of the three-day attractions.
